Our Team
Empowering Independence to shape tomorrow.
Meet The Team
At Potteries Care, we have spent time hand selecting our staff to make sure they are the right fit for our company and the Children and Young People under our care. We take this very importantly, as by having the right staff, this is how to make sure our Young People have the best success, feeling comfortable and confident with who they are working with.
We are dedicated to fostering a safe, home-like atmosphere where Young People can grow, learn, and thrive in their personal journeys.

Company Director
I have been working with vulnerable Children & Young People for around 15 years now. After working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in schools, ranging from age 5 – 18, specialising in SEN & EBD needs. I decided to branch out and move my support into a different sector, where I could have more of an impact on Young Peoples’ lives outside of a Classroom. As I was very used to liaising with Local Authorities, Carers, Parents and other External Agencies/Professionals, I decided to make the leap and moved into Social Care.
I started my new venture as a Support Worker for Looked After Children, aged 16-18 within a Company that provided Supported Accommodation in Staffordshire. I did this for 2 years before becoming the USAC Manager for the same company. I was very excited about this move and felt I was able to bring my knowledge, skill-set and previous qualifications into this new vocation.
I have a real passion for helping others. For me, this means using my personality and creativity to create rapports and build trust – doing this opens many doors for Young People. Support can be given in many different ways; giving guidance to help reach goals, learning and teaching new skills, helping Young People find out more about themselves – but still making sure that they have equal opportunities, fun and positive life experiences along the way.
I have a very varied skill-set and am always happy to adapt and to learn more. My Management style, from feedback from both Staff and Young People, are that I am ‘welcoming, creative, always look for positivity and that my door is always open to help others when they need extra support’.
- For me, this feels like a huge compliment and makes me feel that I am helping to make change.
With over 15 years of experience in healthcare, I have worked across a variety of sectors with a consistent focus on maintaining the highest standards of care and service. Much of my work has centred around ensuring quality, compliance, and positive outcomes for the people using those services — experience which directly supports the values and aims of our supported accommodation for young people.
In addition to my healthcare background, I bring over 14 years of property experience, having purchased, developed, and managed properties. This unique blend of expertise allows me to combine safe, high-quality living environments with a deep understanding of the care and support required to help young people thrive.
I pride myself on attention to detail and ensuring things are done properly, but I also believe that building strong relationships and maintaining a sense of humour are just as important. After all, even the most thorough policies and processes work best when people feel comfortable, respected, and supported.
Above all, my vision is to create opportunities where young people feel safe, valued, and empowered — giving them the foundations they need to build brighter, more independent futures.
